Matt is the President for Braintree Properties. He has been in the construction and real estate business for more than 20 years. In his role he manages and oversees the development and construction of projects in a variety of different real estate sectors: education, hospitality, multi-family, and self-storage. In addition, Matt has extensive experience in government real estate. From 2009-2015, he led the development of a 360,000 square foot Southwest Region Headquarters for the Federal Aviation Administration in Fort Worth, TX. He also led many high-level construction projects for the Department of Justice throughout the southwest. Matt has pre-developed and managed more than 5 million square feet of commercial real estate.
Matt earned an M.P.A. from the University of North Texas and a B.S. in accounting from the Marriot School of Business, Brigham Young University. When not in the office, Matt can be found spending time with his wife and three children and staying active in the community. He also enjoys college football as well as woodworking in milling raw timber and creating tables and furniture.
Rick Stilovich is the director of pre-development for Braintree Properties. He has 25 plus years of real estate experience and a proven record of creating value and improving the performance of a diverse real estate portfolio including office, industrial, medical, hospitality, government, retail, and multi-family residential properties.
Rick has expertise in asset management, property management, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, construction, and development. Prior to joining Braintree Properties, Rick served as Regional Vice President of The RMR Group (NASDAQ: RMR) where he managed the real estate assets of more than 12 million square feet for five public real estate investment trusts.
Rick has a B.S. in business administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. Rick is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) with the CCIM Institute and a Certified Property Manager (CPM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Jessica Heggie is the lead architect for Braintree Properties. She has more than 15 years of construction and design experience across the western United States. In those years, she has worked on everything from hospitality, K-12 education, and higher education, to single-family residential. Jessica’s passion is in the evolution of ideas to tangible objects, spaces, and places. In addition to designing spaces and buildings, she explores design in her personal life through crafts, house renovations, and working on cars.
Jessica earned a Masters of Architecture from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a B.S. in Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Board, and Idaho Women in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction.
James Thomson is the managing director of self-storage for Braintree Properties. He previously was with Extra Space Storage for five years where he worked on the Acquisition, Construction, and Development teams. James has closed over $2 billion in self-storage, multi-family, and retail transactions in his career. In addition, he was instrumental in completing several expansion and development projects for Extra Space Storage.
Prior to working for Extra Space Storage, James worked in the commercial banking industry for more than seven years at Wells Fargo and Zions Bank. James was a key asset to managing relationships with companies and utilizing his real estate finance expertise to drive results. James’ background and expertise make him a unique asset to Braintree Properties.
James earned an M.B.A. from Arizona State University and a B.S. in business management with an emphasis in finance from Brigham Young University. When not in the office, James can be found spending time with his wife and four children and staying active in the Utah outdoors.
Steve Myres has more than 17 years of experience in general contracting and construction management. Steve is responsible for overseeing construction management for all branches of Braintree Properties.
Steve’s experience in construction has brought an understanding of both the field and office side of construction management to Braintree Properties. His experience handling multiple projects ranging in size and complexity aides to Braintree’s ability to expand our services in different markets and types of construction.
Steve graduated in 2005 from Texas Tech University with a degree in civil engineering. He has held a chair on the TEXO YCC (Young Constructors Council) helping introduce young constructors into the world of construction management and construction lobbying. Most of his free time is spent with his two boys coaching their football teams and attending archery tournaments. Steve’s favorite pastime is a motorcycle ride on a long curvy highway.
Ty Teague has more than 14 years of experience in building and cultivating client relationships in the construction space. He is responsible for overseeing and maintaining customer relationships, business development, and strategic initiatives for Braintree Properties.
His genuine ability to foster relationships and quickly bond with and build trust with key decision makers is what brought him to Braintree Properties. In his past efforts, he has done a tremendous job in exemplifying leadership qualities, which has enabled his successful track record and kept long-lasting relationships.
Ty graduated in 2001 from Texas Tech University with a degree in public relations and a minor in marketing. He volunteers for several foundations that support pediatric cancer research. Most of his free time is spent with his wife watching their daughter grow up and teaching her all about hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
